This book wasn’t bad but it certainly wasn’t what I expected. Everyone looking for a solid sci-fi read, you should probably look elsewhere. Here and Now and Then is as much science fiction as Outlander is, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy only mild scifi elements in the stories you read. Kin is essentially a time cop, charged with stopping bad guys who try to change the timeline. He gets stranded in 1996 and is eventually rescued 18 years AFTER starting a family. Since he created a person (his daughter) who should not exist, Kin must figure out a way to save her life before his former colleagues can kill her due to her being a timeline contamination. More contemporary than science fiction.
