I can honestly say I love the way Justin A Reynolds wrote this book. I know there is a market for Urban Fiction and Urban Realism, but the truth is, not every Black person in America behaves in the ways these books portray. Not every Black man is a hustler or a cheater. Not every Black woman is a ride-or-die chick, or a scammer. Not every Black teen wants to experiment with gangs or be a rapper. Some of us, actually a great many of us who go unrepresented, just want to fall in love, have fun, and live a good life. I love that this book showcases us in a light that often goes uncommercialized.
